Ms. Navarro is an attorney and partner at Haddad & Navarro, one of the nation’s premier criminal defense law firms, which has successfully defended clients in state and federal white collar and non-white collar criminal cases throughout the United States.
Ms. Navarro received the honor of being selected for The National Trial Lawyers: “Top 40 Under 40” in Florida for Criminal Defense, a prestigious achievement given to only a select group of lawyers for their superior skills and qualifications in the field. Membership in this exclusive organization is by invitation only, and is limited to the top 40 attorneys under the age of 40 in each state who have demonstrated excellence and have achieved outstanding results in their careers in criminal defense law.
Ms. Navarro was also selected as “Client’s Choice” by Avvo.com, and was designated as one of the “10 Best” in Client Satisfaction by the American Institute of Criminal Law Attorneys and “10 Best Female Attorneys” in Criminal Defense by the American Institute of Criminal Law Attorneys. The National Academy of Criminal Defense Attorneys has also recognized Ms. Navarro with a “Top 10 Ranking” for 2016. The NACDA, is an organization devoted to recognizing the top criminal defense attorneys in the nation. Very few attorneys (less than 1%) make the Top 10 list, in order to do so they must demonstrate an extraordinary amount of knowledge, skill, experience, expertise and success in their practice of criminal defense.
Prior to joining Haddad & Navarro, Ms. Navarro worked as an Assistant State Attorney for Broward County, prosecuting crimes from first degree misdemeanors to life felonies. In this role, Ms. Navarro led the prosecution in over 100 jury and non jury trials and was also a lead prosecutor in the felony trial unit.
While working on her Juris Doctor, Ms. Navarro clerked for Judge Amy Karan in the 11th Circuit Court in Miami, Florida, was certified as a legal intern at the Office of the Public Defender in Miami-Dade County, and clerked for Perry & Neblett, P.A, a full service admiralty and insurance dispute law firm. Before attending law school, Ms. Navarro worked as Vice President of sales for Florida Yachts International, an international brokerage firm, overseeing the super yacht division in the United States and Latin America region.
Ms. Navarro, born in Lake Placid, Florida, is the daughter of Dr. David Nunez and Lynda Paul. Due to her athletic and scholastic ability she lived and trained at the renowned Bollettieri Sports Academy for golf and tennis, located in Bradenton, Florida. Ms. Navarro earned her Bachelor of Science in Communications with honors at the highly acclaimed Broadcast Journalism School at the University of Miami and her Juris Doctor cum laude from St. Thomas University where she was awarded best advocate.
Ms. Navarro is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida, Washington D.C., and federally admitted to the United States District Court for the Southern and Middle District of Florida and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. Ms. Navarro is death qualified in the State of Florida for capital cases and is a member of the Florida Bar, Broward County Bar Association, Broward Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Federal Bar Association, Broward County Women Lawyers Association and Broward County Hispanic Bar Association.
